Blinking headlights?

Blinking headlights?
I have a 900w rms amp on 2x300w subs. Headlights are now flashing to the beat! This system isn't THAT powerful... Anyway, I bought an Optima red top and that didn't fix it so I exchanged it for a yellow top today. Still watching the battery meter dip every time the big bass hits! What gives? ANY help would be appreciated here, thanks.

Would switching to a 4awg amp/ground wire help or hurt here? An alt. switch is going to be expensive and untimely (I'm in the middle of a move). I know I should be using 4 awg but, I don't want to make the problem worse.

the problem is that you are using more power than your alternator is able to produce.. ANYTHING YOU DO IS ONLY A BANDAID. a high output alternator is the ONLY real cure
however, upgrading your wiring along with a better battery and better alternator is the best route to go. You need the thicker awg wire to effectively carry the increased current, and a bigger battery to help support those quick loud bursts

Well, I can easily replace the wiring and just keep the volume down for now. I'll change out the alternator when the extra money presents itself. I really do appreciate the help on this; any additional comments are truly valued.
