what would be my best bet to run two 450 watt subs? (300 rms) a 1 Channel 900 watt amp ....don't have much exp. with car audio but am looking into a mtx amp with a max output of 1200 watts.. would that be my best bet?or too much? Don't want to blow anything but i guess 450'* enough roomage not to do so.... any of your opinions would be greatly appreciated . thanks

first off what ohm load are the subs..? 4 ohm 2 ohm ?
and are they dual or single voice coil subs..
i would suggest a dual channel amp of atleat 300 watts rms each channel so i would say you would be better off with a 2 channel 1200 watt amp
or a 1 channel mono 1200 watt amp bridged
depending on the first 2 questions i asked you.. the ohm of the speakers makes all the difference of the amp you buy...
also would you be running a second amp for the voice.?
and its called a battery terminal connector.. stinger makes some gold plated ones for cheap...

.........They are: 2 single 4ohm voice coil Subwoofers (but says they are wired in parallel and produce a 2-ohm system impendance?)

because if each speaker has 2 voice coils then they are dual 4 ohm subs.. and yes each sub can be wired down to 2 ohms each and when you connect the 2 subs together after wiring them both to 2 ohms then you will have a 1 ohm connection
so i would suggest with what you have you should get a 1 channel mono amp that produces its most power at a 1 ohm load.. i would suggest a kicker kx1200.1
or if money is an issue get a pyramid 1200 watt 1 channel mono amp new for like $80 on ebay...

please do not buy pyramid products.....knowing from experinece, 2 of my friends bought pyramid subs for their first setups, and it was 2 12' subs in a box and both sets blew within three weeks, this gives you a view of how poorly their products are made....they look decent but trust me, save up your money and get something worth paying for.

yeah I'm gonna go with a Pioneer AVIC z3 for my Multimedia unit and probably two MTX Amps ... just not sure if my subs are 300 rms per 450 watt speaker or 300 rms in total (both speakers together) will try and find a link to the Subs i got so you can see what i was trying to explain ohm wise.... Thanks
