okay i figured it out for real this time because of the year they used both harness'* a gm 12 pin the big ugly one, and a gm 21 pin harness I have a gm 21 pin harness now! I'm good a made a few late night phone calls could drive around without a radio, now could i?.lol

That'* not EXACTLY true. It was only widely recognized in the 97+, but i know there'* a section in my '87 service manual that has info for a Bose speaker system in the older models. IDK what years it was offered, but i'm almost positive i've seen it. Didn't someone here have one?

I have seen the C and H bodies in the past with the Bose audio system... The 87-96 or so gennerally did not use Bose audio... Thats not to say there weren't some Bonnevilles with the Bose system...

Most of the ones I have seen were in the Oldsmobiles, Buicks or Caddiliacs... Most pontiacs had the Performance Sound...

But yes Bose was offered in the early years for the GM C and H body cars as well as a few other GM model lines...

Yes, it'* from an 87-89 Trofeo and it was a challange to install and make it look like it is original equipment.

okay I finally have the right pin and everything is color matched accordingly, I've installed maybe 10 decks in my lifetime and this is the first time that when I start the car the stereo makes a farting noise! for a breif few seconds! never had this happento me before? any idea'*? could this be the built in amp causing this noise it only does it for a few seconds when the car starts and then the it works perfect and sounds great!
