89 sse wiring harness question?
okay i purchased a wiring harness for my 89 sse with the premium sound system in it! I went threw all the hassle of removing the old deck and ashtray! and when i went to install the deck/harness the harness did not match the pins! it looked like a totally different style of setup mine was small pins this was like big slider! this is not my first install either this is car number 15 for me I don't drive stock radio'*!lol..wondering if the upgreded radio has a different harness adapter then the base model versions the harness says it fits 1977-1991 Pontiac Bonneville'*! but some how I think it was either miss packaged or there'* a different plug for the bose system! I went back to the store (canadian tire) and read the vehicle discreption book and matched the number again and compared it to another they were the same and i did have the rigght plug and I know this radio is the stock bose premium sound system! i looked it up! Unfortunatly i searched this site and did not find the answer to my question? anyonme who can be of assistance it would be gretly appreciated!

The wire harness should look something like this:
This receives all three of the colored connectors (white, blue & black, I believe). This is a Metra kit 70-1677. There'* a couple other manufacturers of wire harnesses but should still look similar. You're gonna need an antenna adaptor too. Metra 40-GM10 or equivilent
BTW, Bose systems didn't appear in the Bonneville until 97.

OK. Your homework assignment is to go out and get the right harness so you can have tunes.
