Default 2nd battery hookup

I have an interstate battery thats new from my derby car, im wondering how I could hook it up in my trunk to take some of the load off my buicks battery. Do you run the battery wire from the buick battery to the rear battery and then another cable from that to the amp?

What'* the point of adding a second battery? Is it to take the load of the main battery, take the load of the altenator...what?

I think I might be adding one into my truck because of the lighting I want to run, don't think I'll need it for the audio.

Adding a second battery doesn't take a load off the alternator..it adds more.

I think she wants to add it to take the strain off her battery when she'* playin music with the car off.

Ohhhhhhhh. Well I'd be putting in a bigger alternator anyway, so maybe I'll be doing it right.

An upgraded alt would be a good idea. You could get away with the stock one, but it would shorten its life, and that'* not something you want dying on you when your in the woods at night. lol. How many lights are you planning on running?

Just upgraded lighting to HIDs in the front, LED'* in the back. The LEDs should actually draw less power. But, I also plan on putting in some strobes throughout for when I'm out doing construction stuff or when I'm at the race track. Of course I'll have some Hella/KC lights in my push bar, those shouldn't draw too much power though.

You should be fine stock. I've seen people run a lot more on stock and not have any trouble.

Well then, I'll at least do the big 3 and a second battery. Both of those shouldn't cost too much.
