SQ is far from just "Bass". Infact Bass is sometimes the easiest part, imaging, sound staging, frequency response and balance are generally much harder IMO.
exactly bass is the least of many SQ cars concerns..

I like how people assume if ya one a award you know what your doing not jabbing at TaylorD just in general..

Making assumptions like that makes you look retarded.. My car is set up for SQL. This isnt my first year doing this stuff I have been into car audio since I was 16 so that makes it what im 32 now, YEAH 16 years. I have had a full on SQ system, I have had my share of SPL, this is my daily driver SQL vehicle.

I like my music clean, focused and detailed yet I like my low end very strong, and lots of impact.

Never assume anything about anyone, hell in my SQ install in my old car my mids and tweets cost more than 90% of peoples systems on this board.

I have worked in local shops, I am now side contracted by two different shops for boxes.

I hate people that assume.. Like saying running all JL will make you win awards.

No offense taken either, to each their own. You definitly are knowledgable in the field and thats what I like about you. I've taked to many people who think there the $hit because the trunk rattled so much, meanwhile, sitting in the car its sounds like crap, sure it has big hitting base, but the rest is real quite and/or all muddy.

I also like tight punchy bass, my last time on the meter was only 132ish when I had it tuned how I like it for SQ. I know if I pushed it I could hit 140 but I don't like how it sounds for SQ that way, Also with my experiences on past 3 cars all with systems, is that over time with trunk rattling bass like your getting kinda of ruins the car, every nut and bolt loosens up and after time theres more squeeks/rattles than ever desired, and the ride of the car is all loose. So with this setup I got it turned down and the W7'* have plenty of excersion to push enough air for me.

My comment to you was just how many videos can you make, I did notice that it has been a different box and sub, ever 2 or so videos. But man you got a lot of trunk rattling videos out there, and I haven't been online for some time, I come back and check out the audio section and I think to myself, man more ibanez videos. This guys has gone rattle crazy.

I'm curious to hear about your old high end front sound stage. I've been looking for a change myself and prepping myself to make some kicks and haven't decided on what 3-way setup I want to go with. As for the my JL thing, if my buddy didn't work at Tweeter and give me a deal I never would of gone with it, but since he did and I could, I went with the JL theme trunk.

It seems like this same argument happens on a regular basis.

not really a argument or about JL I can say the same thing about say CDT, Vifa, Morel, etc etc..

Product is only as good as the install itself.

Taylor doesnt win cause he uses JL he wins cause he did one hell of a install..

Totally agree, it'* all about intergity of the install, not looks, that a bonus to keep it clean and stylish. Sat in several cars at show with a flashy install and didn't sound better than my setup IMO.

So what was your last front setup?
