Water inside trunk lid??
So a couple days ago I was driving in a steady rain shower for about an hour or two. A day or two later, I open my trunk to find water pouring out from around the mid portion of the trunk lid (near the inside of the key latch area). As I open the lid all the way, it comes pouring out the back of the lid - easily almost half a gallon pours out. The only place I can think of that the water can enter is near the spoiler/wing attachment holes? Has anyone else had this problem? If so - what is the solution? Is there a gasket for the spoiler or can they just be tightened up?

I don't know the "fix" for this but I do know it'* a fairly common issue as I've heard and read about it. Have you tried searching the "Common Problems" thread in this section? IDK if it'* in there or not...

This is a link to an old thread that PontiacDad started several years ago. The information is still accurate.

I have been working on the same issue too. I tightened the spoiler bolts because they were allittle loose but the leak returned. My next thought was that it is leaking into the trunk lid through the tail light bar in the center. After reading the other post above I am goin to check the 3rd brake light too because that sounds like a possible issue too. A quick fix that i have been using in the mean time is I pulled out one of the rubber plugs located on the bottom of he trunk lid, that alows the water to drain out regularly since i get regular car washes and I am sick of my trunk smelling musty.

Rust sucks.

True, rust would suck - but It hasn't started in the 5 years I've owned my car and I don't expect to own it long enough for rust to kick in.
Also - The dealer I purchased it from tried on two occasions to take apart the spoiler and get it to seal properly, but they were unsuccessful. Removing the plugs turned out to be the best solution for me.
