Water on Drivers side floor
Hey All
Hope everyone is doing great and getting ready for the holiday season.
Major problem with my bonne. Noticed the other day my remote wasn't opening the back doors or front passenger, same with the lock switch inside. Now i've noticed the windows don't work on the passenger side and now there is water on the Drivers side floor. Is this the dreaded sunroof drain tubes plugged? Can someone point me in the right Tech area for the DIYers. The hubby wants to see what'* involved before i ship her off to the dealers. Anyone know what something like this would cost to be fixed at a dealers? Thanks for the help guys and gals....

I'm not thinking it'* the sunroof drains only because when mine were clogged my headliner got wet. You can easily check them like I did with a jug of water. Just park it at an angle and open the sunroof then pure the water in the channel so it can drain down the tubes. Then you'll know if there clogged. My front two (all of them are in the corners) wouldn't drain. I blow air in them to clear them.
I would suspect the Butyl in the door that may have came loose and is allowing water to come in like my rear drivers door just did, not sure how this relates to your other problems though.
I removed the lower trim along the rocker panel and sat in the car with the doors shut as my wife flooded the car doors. After a minute I could see water coming in. I pulled the door panel and found the seal loose. I went to Advance Auto and bought a roll of Ribbon Seal for 8$ and replaced all of it in the panel. No more leak.
Hope this helps. Look at the links in post #1 and #3 http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=88557

Took the Bonne to the dealers tonight and they had a quick look at it and so far they think it'* the computer under the drivers seat, and with the wet carpet they are bringing in someone that tracks down leaks. I'll know more tomorrow, but so far i don't like where this is heading. :(

Well car is back from the dealers and i was right the sunroof drain was plugged flooding the floor in the back and front and shorting out the computer wires for the power windows and locks. Had them adjust the sunroof too because it was tilting towards the rear. I had them check a few other things to like the passenger heated seat and the total for repairs was $700.

I decided to wait till after Christmas on the heated seat. Not sure how much it'* gonna cost but a guy at work had a new kit put in his wifes car and it was $600. I'll probably check ebay for the seat kit.
