Vibration around 70mph
OK, guys, I know I have seen or read some info on this. My 2003 has a vibration to it when the speed gets up to around 70mph. The issue was the motor mount if you are standing in front of the car... it would be the front right side. Local shop replaced it and the vibration went away. However it'* only been about 3K miles on the car and it is now doing it again... Could that mount go bad that fast or maybe replacing that mount cause another one to go bad. IIRC... there was some discussion about two differnt types of mounts. Once being much harder material then the other... Can any of you help me out with this?

Car in drive, foot on brake, hood open ... rev the engine a little and see if the engine bucks. DO NOT RUN ANYONE OVER.

Ok, was able to check this out. If what you mean by "bucks" is that the engine rocks way back toward the fire wall when you step on the gas then rocks back when you let off, and then back when you stop on the gas again then yes. It is bucking.

Ya, I just called the shop and what they replaced the first time was the front tranny mount. Dang, what am I going to be looking at now for cost.. this car only has $87K miles on it... I just put $2300 into a new rear quarter to fix the rust issue around the gas tank. I am beginning to think maybe I should have just traded the the thing in and got a newer car... Uggg..

hmmm.. Sounds like this is quite an issue if people are making make shift motor mounts... Heck if it works... Clarify.. Pucks as in Hockey Pucks? Your putting Hockey pucks as motor mounts?
