Thanks Dan. You won't believe how easy it works. You don't even have to reef on the wrench to break the hub assembly free. Couple of turns, and "pop" ... out it comes. The place you use it at the lower corner has a larger gap, so just put a thick washer under one end of the jack screw to take up the extra gap.
Works like a charm.

New hubs/bearings are in and the nasty noise from the front end is gone, but the Service Stability System message is still on, along with the ABS and traction control lights. If this issue was related to speed sensors in the front hubs, do I wait a certain number of cycles for the system to reset itself, or do I have to get the code cleared with a tech II scanner? How many cycles?

You can always disconnect the negative terminal on the battery tonight and reconnect it in the morning. That seems to clear all the errors (at least on mine until I get the "passed" emissions test).

If it is frozen up it is a major PITA to get off, took me 3 days on a 99 GP that had never had the bearing changed before
It was rusted to the axle shaft so I used 2 propane torches and heated the hell out of it then used a ratceting strap and a hammer to finally bust is loose

That'* pretty wild actually- I was a little concerned about this same thing when I changed mine last weekend- but I LOVE PB Blaster! and my little 6oz ball peen hammer- I worked it slowly all around and was able to pop it out with little effort. I
There'* a lot of Aluminum/steel mating on this car that'* for sure.Definitely going to be issues the older they get.
