Yes the stability control only works the front brakes....and worse yet, you can't turn it off. That was a disappointment when I purchased it.
I actually just did this last friday before i left for chicago. Scott did it with his tech-2 and also changed my driver 1 and driver 2 names for me in the DIC (Ill have to get pictures when i get home tomorrow) The little bit I drove it over the weekend i felt a noticeable difference in the tightness of the steering. It is VERY responsive at highspeed and not as loose at low speeds. If your the type to drift a bit at high speed or have a bad alignment "more firm" is going to feel pretty jerky but if you have a good alignment and steady hand its a dream to drive. I like it a lot better than normal.

Thanks for insight Rogue
I think I would like it firmer and my front end seems tight to me...going to have to try it out for myself.

I wonder how the gretting message will work with me, since my Viper 791install. I no longer have keyfob 1 and 2. Nobody else drives my car so no need for 2 different greetings.

Thanks PontiacDad for the write ups. This is like a regular Bonneville Tech School over here. Gotta love it! Unfortunately, I don't have Magnasteer or Stabilitrak on this rig, but it'* cool reading up on it.

Where I'm headed is to know more about the traction control systems and see if a custom pcm will be able to turn off the traction control with a switch for race weekends.

That would be nice. Have you tried that emergency break test yet? Weird how it de-activates at a certain mph. I wonder if it would ber worth it to hook up a shifter with a performance button for the DHP or any programming for that matter. But a real traction off button would be very nice. guess just have to pull the front wheel sensors till then.

To use it, press hard on the brake pedal, press the line lock switch, let go of the brake pedal. Now as long as you hold that line lock switch on the rear brakes will not let go, release the switch and your gone.
This is actually a brake lock as a trans brake is the only true line lock, but yields simillar results.
