Trans shifting trouble...
my mom is having trouble with the trans acting like it doesn't know when to shift. you get to about 50 moh and it starts shifting back and forth between gears rapidly. you speed up or slow down and its fine, but if you hold it there it will just keep going nuts. My dad thinks that its something to do with the computer telling it when to shift. does this sound right? anyone else go through this? Thanks...

Does it do it regardless of the engine temperature, or just when cold, or just warm? Do the RPMs change, or is it something that is felt instead? The torque converter lockup should occur right around that speed - 46 MPH, IIRC

4T65E Shift Issues
I have a 2005 Pontiac Aztek with a 4T65E transmission. I was getting high rev'* and hard shifts, both up and down in all gears, and had the maximum adapt and long shift code 1811. I replaced the pressure control solonoid, the 1-2 and 3-4 shift solonoids, the vehicle speed sensor, the fluid filter, and the fluid. This all made a huge improvement in shifting, but I still have one nagging problem!
When the vehicle is started, I generally get a high rev on the first 1-2 shift. After that, the transmission shifts great. If anyone has an experience fixing the high rev on the initial 1-2 shift, I would really appreciate hearing the fix.
Thanks.
