does this also keep the high gear lockup in a liitle better. almost any touch
of the accelerator and the lockup kicks out on the 03. dont have this prob
on the 97.--irv

If the torque converter is locking/unlocking, take a look at this. https://www.gmforum.com/electrical-133/tcc-solenoid-switch-284972/ You might need to adjust the TCC solenoid switch.
