Thinking of producing solid-poly engine mounts and trans mounts for our cars.
So, for about a year now, I have been rockin' the hocky puck mount. Despite its elegant and highly conversational appeal I have come to the conclusion that in a couple of days and over the next couple weeks I will be making some solid engine mounts and such to test on my bonneville. If and only If they pan out well under some tests and of course, running them on my car, I may begin making some if people want to buy them since I will have extra resin to be used. I'm not sure if anyone is interested or if there is a company that makes them already, but from what I have uncovered, there are none... sadly. Anyway, if anyone is interested just let me know, I will begin making the moulds this weekend.

I've already done this for the front motor mount and it worked well and was fairly easy to produce. I bought a long tube of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene that was the same diameter as the front motor mount, then cut sections off of the appropriate height, drilled a hole in the middle, and bought an appropriately sized grade 8 bolt to go through it. I have also sold them with small rubber pads to remove some vibration, never tried it without the pad to see how much of a difference it makes. I've had one on my car for over 2 years with no issues.
