Someone please explain what just happened!!!???
So, I just came back from picking up my son from work and pulled into the garage. Just as I stopped, before I even put it into park, the Bullet stalled.
It never did that before.
Then an even stranger thing happened. It wouldn't start
Turn the key and the power was there, fuel pump, lights, radio, etc. but no starter. I tried a number of times and nothing
I tried shifting the shift lever, everything I could think of but nothing.
Then I decided to plug in my code reader and when I did there were no codes......but when I tried to start it again, it fired right up like nothing was wrong.
Was this a brain fart or what :?:
Got me worried that something is about to go.....in a more inconvenient place than my garage. :?

You are gonna have to trailor it and ship it to me. I'll take care of it.
My guess would be some sort of computer glitch or ground problem. I don't know what could fail and cause it to just stop like that, except the PCM.

That is my guess too. PCM. Possibly plugging my code reader into it reset it somehow.....but why did it quit like that so suddenly :?:
This is the reason I love my non computer controlled Firebirds so much. Have never failed me once in 27 years.
I will have to bring my spare computer with me this summer, just in case. :?

Has to be electrical or sensor related. I know MAP sensors can do funny things like that sometimes (which is why I'm glad the S1 only uses it for a boost reading). No codes makes me believe that the PCM was seeing what the sensor thought it was seeing, so the sensor isn't totally failed, but reading wrong. Make sense? I'm not saying it'* a certain sensor, just an example.

Well since it hasn't thrown a code yet, I will just have to wait. :?
Just came back from a very good highway day trip. Went thru a tank of fuel and no problems......so far.
In fact it ran verrrrry well. Held it for a whole hour in triple digits....and I don't mean kilometers/hour.

The Bullet is Dead again.
No start. No clicking, no firing :(
I had to fly out this morning on a business trip to Vancouver so will have to wait to investigate more tomorrow when I return home.
For now Bonne rests in my garage.....silent.
What should I try :?:

Sound like a security issue, its strange.
PCM going out?
If it was not so long (security relearn) you could swap your PCM to see if it solve the problem. :?
Hope the bullet will get back soon ready to fire. (...not like mine )
