rear reflective panel help - damaged it....
Hi,
My dad decided to help me 'fix' my trunk leak, and he tried to remove the reflective / shiny black 'panel' attached to the trunk proper (aka fake brake lights etc.). He ended up damaging it. Are these available from GM? And, how do they come off? Are they glued on? Dad removed all the screws but that didn't loosen it at all.
Makes a very poor statement to an otherwise cherry vehicle to have that blemish on there. I want to replace the panel, even though the blemish is less than 3" square.
Saw the 'leaks' posts and will check out the common problems. Thanks for your help in advance with fixing the leaks.

My guess is he missed a hidden bolt. This is for a older car, but should help.

this is on a 2000+ correct?
there are 2 plastic spring clips on the back side behind the top yellow or clear triangles.
they are difficult to get to however it can be done if you work slow and easy with it.
depending upon which model you have 2000-04 SE SLE SSEi 0r the 04-05 GXP the price for that center section varies greatly. for the most common one with the yelloy and all the black lines it is around $687 for the GXP one that has no yellow and few black lines it is $140.
best bet is check on ebay or the local yards for one
