Possible trans going bad?
all stock except for 180* T-stat K&N filter
when I accelerate from a stop, the car shifts into all gears. But when it does shift it hits really hard. My acceleration from a stand still isn't as good. If I manually shift down or up it hits really hard. After shifting the car feels like I'm bouncing on the accelerator sometimes. Sometimes the engin will lug like a manual would when needing for a down shift. it'* done this before but cleared up Yesterday and today the problem is constant and I'm affraid that this might result in my CV joints poping. Anyone ever have a simiular problem or solution or any idea about what I'm talking about???

Sounds like a Bad Pressure Control solenoid allowing the Trans to run with high or full line pressure.. Get this checked out very soon

I have the same issue on my 00. Ive been told that it is the preasure control solinoid and also told its the torque converter clutch. not sure what the diffrence is but I had gone to a local tranny shop and he had done lot of tranny work on GM cars. he said that it would only be a few hundred more to have a rebuilt tranny put in verses instaling a PCS (which he said is the problem) but that would be costly and usualy the overdrive gear and other things in the tranny go bad too and the work wouldnt be warrentied. I figure since it has over 212,000 miles on it, that its prolly time for a new one anyways so ill drive it till it doesnt work.

RIP
True Car Nut
In the meantime, you can try a can of SeaFoam'* TransTune. Many have had luck with that freeing up the sticking solenoid. A couple of members have said that installing a shift kit took care of it, too.
