From my experience, I'm recommending against dremeling, unless you're very good and have a very thin blade. I used a hacksaw to open mine. Once I had it cut that way for a couple of inches, I began carefully prying with the widest flat tip screwdriver I had.

Hey gang, I just removed the center piece from the middle of the trunk and one tail light to get a first hand look at what lies ahead...and its not good. All three pieces are solid molded plastic. Becuase of the angles and the contour a hacksaw is right out, a dremel would be the only way to open it. There appears to be no seam, however, and this is the only encouraging part, the relective material on the inside (red and amber) appears to be a piece that can be removed after it is completely opened. I am still up for trying, but what this means is after we get the pieces apart and "cleared" there is the little dillema of getting them backtogether, in a fashion that will keep them together and held on to the car. Taylor and Adbear, the sooner you two get together to work on this the better. I am still planning on attempting this next weeked, so I hope you guys come back with some positive news and/or pictures (wait, neither of you have a digital camera!)

I don't think it'* looking good for us. I wonder if there'* a way to heat it up to get it apart. Mike, how did you get your'* off, just pulled? I kinda tried on mine and thought it might snap, or it needed to be pry'ed off.
Adbear, I work nights so don't know how that works with you. Maybe I could just pick it up and have a shot at it sometime. My dremel is not cordless either.
