Oil life system
So my new Bonne has the Oil Life System and it'* using standard 10W-30. I'm thinking about switching to synthetic. If I do that there'* no way for correcting this on the DIC is there?

My owners manual says "This (oil life) is not based on mileage, but on engine revolutions and engine operating temperature." So the question stands. How do you go synthetic and have the Oil Life System work?

Personally I think it'* to lenient to begin with and is perfect for synthetic oil. I went just over 5000 miles the first time I changed the oil and that was on the non-synthetic 10W-30 from the dealership. I now run synthetic 5W-30. But I can't be sure until I change the oil again.

I put synthetic in mine in November, and I didn't write down the mileage, but I'm sure I'm between 6k and 7k miles, and my oil monitor is still at like 40%.
