OE Firestone Affinity'* on '04 Bonneville SE are stinko!
Almost 16k miles on my 2004 SE....wobble-wobble-wobble!
I broke down and purchased 4 Goodyear Triple Tread Assurance (P225/60-16) and I had them mounted/balanced for $505.
I sold my 4 take offs to a relative of an employee of mine for $50 for his worn out ex-squad Crown Vic.
I put about 250 miles this weekend on the new tires...the car drives like night & day better! The traction control never stepped in on the rainy streets, even when pushed...the Affinity'* did at 4k miles!
I did notice the ride is more sensitive, meaning I feel the bumps more (new tires are H rated instead of T) and I can hear a tire whine if my radio is off, but that is a small price to pay!
I can't wait to drive it now in the snow!

It'* too bad you had the experience you did with your affinity'*. I put on 80,000 on my '02 SE with the original tires. I was so happy with them, I went back to them. Got all 4 mounted and balanced at a Firestone dealer in Oklahoma City for $386.00. I currently have about 140,000 miles total on the car. I've had Goodyears on my '84 F150 and '97 Suburban and promised myself never to go back to them. The F150 was part my right foots fault, but the Wranglers on the Suburban went through 3 replacements getting sidewall cracks on 2 tires each time. I finally went with BFG'* on both and have been happy so far.

Sorry to revive an old thread, however my comments are relevant...
I now have put almost 7000 miles on the GY Triple Treads...I love them!
In rain & ice they are great...it'* like driving something with studded tires (those old enough to recall!).
In snow....OK, deep snow takes a little practice in how to handle the torque steer at higher speeds.
Stopping on all accounts is excellent, the ABS doesn't kick in unless it'* glare ice.
2 thumbs up!
