No ABS and no heater/AC control - linked...?

I have an intermittent problem...
When starting the car - the "no" ABS yellow light and no traction control yellow light comes on on the dash, and there are no lights on in either the heater-A/C readout (and thus neither the heat or A/C work) or the seat heater and traction control sections.
However, I went over a section of road covered in ice - I applied my brakes - and then the ABS kicked in - the "no" ABS yellow light in the dash went off and lights for the heater-A/C readout come one and the heater starts working - and everything then works until I turn the car off.
I have since replicated this several times - it always works the same.
Any ideas as to what is happening/wrong?
Thanks!

This is a 2002 Bonneville, right?
Sounds like a bad VSS to me.

It would affect the ABS and TC lights. I'd fix these first before working on the HVAC.

Why not scan the ABS module?

OK, some "new" information...
I keep going back and forth as to whether I want to put this kind of money into this car - but every time I drive it - I say, yeah I do!
So... there seems to be a problem with starting the car that is "linked" to how cold it is outside.
Every time I try to start the car and it is under 40 F or so - the car starts up NO problem.
However, if it is 40 F +, then I turn the key - nothing happens for a 2-3 seconds - then the Service Engine Soon light comes on and then after 2-3 seconds the red battery icon appears and the car dings 5 times - I turn the key and nothing...
I turn the key off - and start all over again - the Service Engine Soon light comes on after a few seconds, followed by the red battery icon after a few more seconds - then I turn the key and it may or may not start.
Sometimes it starts after 2 or 3 tries, sometimes it takes about 4 or 5+ tries.
But like I said, this ONLY happens when the outside temp is above 40 F or so - if the temp is lower than that - it starts off right away.
Help!

There are random misfire codes, lean codes, rich codes, cam codes, and evap codes present in the system:
$550 Possible ignition module
$375 Spark Plugs and Wires
$119 Fuel Induction Service
$300 Camshaft Position Sensor - $300.00 (May be more issues present)
$250 Purge Solenoid - $250.00 (May be more issues present in evap system)
?Rich/Lean codes would need further diagnostic after present issues are resolved
