Default New '05 questions...

Just got our '05 SE and I was wondering some things...isn't this model suppose to come standard with On-Star, steering wheel controls, XM satellite? None of these things are on mine and I wasn't aware when I bought it. Kind of a rush out and buy a car thing! Also, has anyone cleared the corners on the '05 or swapped out the air box and put in the 4750 cone filter? Oh yeah and is there any way to activate the DIC on the SE model. Thanks for all your input!!

you should really try to keep all your same questions in the SAME thread...

on-star, steering wheel controls and xm are not standard

as far as the cleared corners:
front http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...pic.php?t=6466
rear: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/392930/4

i dont think anyone has put a rx-4750 on the 00 because there is a lot more room for a bigger filter.... i myself have a K&N 9" cone filter, you could get this http://www.intense-racing.com/Mercha...tegory_Code=IF

the DIC question was already answered in your previous threads

Mac, Open the trunk, peel back the carpet over the spare tire, an RPO list should be adhered to the spare tire cover. This will tell you every feature & option on your particular Bonneville. Not all B'villes came with steering wheel radio controls, OnStar, or XM. It all depends on which option package was put on the car from the factory.

The onstar system has been standard on the Bonnies since 2001. Was your car brand new or was it used? It may have been a previous rental or fleet rental or maybe the dealer ordered it as a fleet car and had the onstar delete.
The steering wheel controls are optional on the SE model in a package when you order the leather wrapped steeering wheel or leather seat package and XM was optional on all Bonnie models, not standard.

my 03 dealer book says that the onstar was an option, if you have the onstar you also have the autodim mirror

Default Thanks...

I appreciate all of your replies! Freak, sorry that I did not get the replies from previous thread but my profile had my old e-mail address. If you knew what I have been through this past month or so you should lighten up a bit but I do appreciate your info.
This was a rental so these things were more than likely omitted when purchased.
Does anyone know if these things can be added after the fact...steering wheel controls and On-Star. On-Star would have been real nice when my wife was in her accident!! Thanks again,

Mac

Mac, The cost to have those items installed would be prohibitive in my estimation. Labor & surgery intensive to say the least.
