Finally found what I believe to be the part number for the steering position sensor. 26059045. That'* for the 2000. I don't believe they made changes to that for your year, but you may want to double check.

Thanks again Archon... I am glad that you have patience
I think I will call the dealership and find out the number for the sensor for sure..... stupid me, I didn't even think about that one![Banghead](https://www.gmforum.com/gm/images/smilies/icon_banghead.gif)
any idea on the cat?? I go to the magnaflow site and they don't have a selection for a high flow cat :? Do I just get a 2.5" universal fit cat, are those the high flow cat? also, I need a cat with the O2 bung before or after the cat?

This is a thread that I found discussing some parts numbers for it. Don't know if it will help you out or not.

I found this one from the link you provided Archon.. looks like the second one down Brand = Eastern... I have never heard of them. Anyone had any experience with them?
look at the second one down
********EDIT*************
well, I have one HELL of a headache now (my eyes are total CRAP) but after alot of searching and calling my local dealership and giving them my vin #, I came with this part number for the steering wheel position sensor....15231652. The sensor is about $80 at the dealership, so I went to gmpartsdirect.com and did a search for that part number. all it came up with was that it was a "sensor" no other information, or picture, so I sent them an e-mail to confirm that that is what I need
I hope it is the right one, cause they only want $45 for it
Man I need glasses BAD!!!!!!!!!

The number that I gave you was from an old parts list for the 2000 - 2002 years. It is quite possible (considering the info in the TSB) that they have updated the part. Unfortunately, GMPD is not very descriptive of the parts.
Are you looking for a cat for an SSEi? If so, the ones on that page are for a vin K, L36 while the Ei would be a vin 1, L67.

I just want to mention one thing about the cats while you're looking for them.
Direct-fit usually means regular cataylic converter while universal means hi-flow. I'm not sure if the thread that Dick linked you to mentioned that.

Racing converters? I don't think you're going to need it. And mirror finish? I would presume those are for show cars.
But if you want a HI FLOW cat, get the universal, I'm getting a 91000 series. I know that McGrath runs a 91000 and had no issue, so see about that.

That is also one of my questions that I have now.... many of the shops around here say that the universal fit cats usually don't perform as well as the OEM ones and that they will set off a SES light... any idea on that one?
I was actually gonna get a mirror finish cat so I could look at myself when I am under the car
joking of course
