Its the thing that you put your key in. What was happening is that the passkey 3 system within it has been damaged or just worn out. Ignition solenoid = key cylinder

If the PK3 system were worn out would power hit the starter solenoid every single time. I thought that if the ingition switch was bad the failure symptoms would be different.

I don't know why I ever strayed away from my Fords. If I didn't owe some money on this car, I would pay someone to come and get the piece of ****. I am at a total loss for what to do about this problem.

Yeah I know your pains. Seems like every time you fix one thing 6 other new things come up. But with the PK3 system, the symptoms vary between cars. Yours will click the starter everytime, mine clicked it now and then stopped responding after it clicked. Others lose the click all together, I just depends on how it goes out. Its almost as if they each have their own personality. If you doubt what im saying take it to a dealer ship and ask them to check the system for you, most times they will check it for free because it only takes a minute or two.

FIXED!!!!! Don't ever buy a starter on ebay. I bought one for $50 with a one year warranty. They guy will be giving me my money back. After a couple of more tests and cleaning and rebuilding every positive connection between the battery and starter AND disassembling and cleaning every ground block and main ground I could find, it still didn't work. So I bought a reman starter from Autozone, $180after tax with a lifetime warranty. 10 minutes to put it in and EUREKA. I had the one I bought from Ebay tested and it failed. So all this crap for a bad starter. Thanks for all the help. Plugged the car into HP Tuners, it is throwing some codes that make me believe the PCM may have some issues but, I am ordering another one from intense or zzp or 3800 anyway.
