lol anyway um my current issue is still what is missing for my n/a icm to bolt down to the sc bracket other than that and needing a dipstick tube for the trans i can put the engine back in.now when i changed the oil pans the aluminum pan had a windage tray and the steel did not. also the aluminum pan uses different pickup tube and pulls oil from the rear of the pan rather than the middle. could be good and could be bad lol idk

well motor is in and all hooked up. still got to run the boost controller wires.
also currently working on the suspension and replacing rusted brake lines.

Quite frustrated with the car at this point.

Something isnt allowing it to start.

OK so since i swapped pcms could i have locked the system out?
(i removed my oem pcm n tried a 2000 buick park ave ultra pcm)
i did the pass key relearn thing where you leave the key on for 10 mins then off for 10 seconds n then back on again.

i did not do it 3 times in a row though

security light now shuts off when the key is on in run position for a few seconds.

now heres the issues:
1. fuel pump dont prime
2.engine will not turn over
3. gauges do not sweep upon turning ignition to run but do after i try starting it.
4. no shifter/selector gear indicatior light saying what gear car is in on the gauge cluster.
5. injectors do not pulse

i do know theres a grounding issue at this time as the starter will not turn unless i put jumper cable from engine to chassis ground. even then the park/gear indicator lamps do not light up.

i will begin removing and cleaning the grounds and adding more just for reassurance.


NOW I DID COMPLETELY REMOVE THE ABS MODULE.

IT recently dawned on me that years ago i unplugged the abs module and for some reason i had to plug it back in... I DONT REMEMBER WHY but im wondering if it may be the cause of atleast the fuel and ignition issues... some sort of failsafe? if abs is bad car wont work? idk

this is my only car and i need it running asap.

I'm suspecting a PCM mismatch wiring somewhere. Put the original PCM back in and see what happens. Worst thing that could happen is, it would start, then run really rich. You should really find a PCM from the same year/make and model.

sounds like you are missing engine grounds. without those none of the sensors, icm, PNP nothing works.

ive found 1 gorund on the trans, 1 ground buss plug on the trans, 1 ground buss on the block by nose of sc, and 1 by icm. then theres the large main ground. i couldnt remember how it went so i just ran it from one of the trans bolts/ studs that holds trans to motor to the chassis... not the sub frame. now are there any more grounds im forgetting?
