Could it be an idler or tensioner pulley?

sc coupler is another option. remove sc belt and quickly spin sc pulley back and forth. (left, right, left , right) It shouldn't make any clicking or rattling noise or have any play

May want to give the converter a kick and see if it rattles when you do.

ill try that too, ive got long legs. unless the sound is travelling through the FWI, i dont think its coming from the belt area/supercharger. the sound definitely is coming from below. ill still check the supercharger though, of course.

no sound i can hear from thupercharger. loosened belt, no clicking or slack. got under car and kicked cat(dont kick the kittah! ) and it clanked a bit. started the car, and looked underneath. the rattling is definately coming from the direction of the converter. AND it was shaking a bit(could be normal).

Is it using any coolant? Mine had a loud ticking noise when I started it up cold, when the LIM gaskets were going out. Someone told me the oil must have gotten thinned out by coolant and drained out of the lifter(*) when the engine was off. I haven't heard the noise since putting the aluminum LIM gaskets in.

I have the same issue. It is NOT EXHAUST. I had it before and after putting on headers. No change in the sound what so-ever. Sounds like a lifter tick or something to me but I replaced all of that and there was no change either. Mine only does it when underload and quites down when on cruise, but it is still there. Mine seemed to get louder after I had my dash out and then put back in. I thought maybe I just knocked some sound insulation loose or something. But maybe not now that others are having the same issue. I am working over my supercharger bearings next week so I will let you know if that helps or not.
