Interesting...we cannot for the life of us get our seat memories programmed ('01 SSEi). We did all the other personalizations on the DIC for our preferences but this one is the most important and it just won't remember it. With our proper key in and the car on (Driver 1 or 2), we get the seat how we want it and then hold the 1 or 2 button on the door until it beeps. You'd think this would program it but nope. What are we missing?
Long story short - Can someone please walk me through how to program the seat memory for Driver 1 and Driver 2?

Is your car recognizing the difference between your keys? By that, I mean when you start the car, does the information center show 'Driver 1' and 'Driver 2' that matches the number on the back of the fob that you just used?

Setting the seats should be as simple as you say. It works for me. You may have a fault.
If you disconnect the battery or lose power, the settings will clear and you will have to reset them, so maybe this gives you a clue on where the fault lies.

Hmm...that is so strange. Maybe it'* a defect of some sort...we'll find out whenever we have to replace the battery or something and everything gets reset.
thanks for the info!...

Thanks for the help guys, I have used the other keys before but I guess I never made the connection. Thanks Mr. Obvious!! (From Bob and Tom if you didn't know!)

It has been a while since I played with the personalization but can you turn off the memory seat feature for a user like you can the curb look pass mirror feature?
