just got a 01 bonneville needs some help.
Just got the 01 bonneville home. Noticed that the oil pressure gauge is always maxed out and also the coolant guage is always at 200. Any help on why i got issues with these would help. Also the right turn signals blinks real fast, and both bulbs are good. I figured it was the bulbs but not, maybe its the fuse??

Welcome to GM Forum! If you've got a few minutes, zip over to the Introductions section and say hello.
This most commonly happens when you (or a previous owner) install LED turn signal bulbs instead of incandescents. Barring that, you may have a defective flasher module.
Also, I moved your thread into the 2000-2005 Bonneville section. We used to be BonnevilleForum.com, so there'* a whole treasure trove of Bonnie knowledge here for you.

I'm in agreement. The oil pressure sending unit/oil pressure switch is likely the cause on the oil. As for the coolant. The thermostat should be a 195F and 200 on the gauge is abotu right. Unless this is when the car is cold etc?

u have a bad oil sending switch like the others said and a bad bulb or turn signal relay or fuse but try the turnsignal relay or the other onwer couldve put leds in it and never put a load equlizer that could also cause the prob with the blinking in ur turn signals and for the temp gauge running 200 is normal inless u put a cooler stat in it or are u saying its stuck at 200?

mine oil sending unit did the same thing and was maxed out to full pressure and replaced it and was fine but its a pain if u dont have the right socket and if u do replace when ur pluging it in make sure u dont bend the lil needles in the connector or itll be a pain to pulg it in and have to take it out again thought that might help u cause i have had the smae prob its pretty commoon on these cars and the turn signal relay is under the dash on the drivers side

ill probably do it when i change the oil here soon. i imagine that if i did it now ill have oil pouring on me. But i got the turn lights fixed tooked out the front right one and the two wire in it were touching, so i just replaced it with a new one and it works fine. so now i just got the oil sending unit to replace and figure out why the coolant is always at 200 degrees. And i noticed that when i slow down the car vibrates pretty bad so i figure its rotors are warped.
