My goto mechanic has a fluid replacement machine. It'* not a flush. But it does replace 100% of the fluid. About $100 w/fluids and filter

I would be interested to know how different shops "handle" the filter in a fluid flush.......Have seen it handled 2 ways....
1. Flush fluid out, and the new fluid has additives in it.....no filter replacement...
2a. Fluid is flushed, then the pan is dropped, fluid captured in a clean receptacle, filter replaced, fluid re-used.......fluid level topped off.
2b. Fluid is flushed, then the pan is dropped, fluid is drained , filter replaced, and new fluid added.....fluid level topped off....
