How many quarts of fluid in the pan? 4T65E
I ran a search and found nothing. Yes, I looked at my owner'* manual, and it only lists total capacity. Please excuse this rather mundane question.

Your SSEi is the 4T65E HD. That probably likely holds more.
As for your son'* GP, that'* the same transmission as the 4T65E in the non-supercharged Bonnies. I have NFC why it took more.

The pump is self lubricated by the fluid. and even though you are in park, there is still going to be clutches slipping and spinning un lubriceated if there is no fluid, never mind the chance of getting a pice of dust or dirt into the tranny is greatly increased
