Unclip your Air Temp Sensor.

Loosen your clamp with a 1/4 inch nut driver.

Pull of the air duct off by peeling back where it meets the TB.

Unclip these clips and pull the front half of the airbox out. Take the air filter out.

Loosen these screws with an 8mm socket. Pull that handle to separate the upper half from the lower half.

This is where the harness enters the airbox going to the PCM.

When you get the top half off you will see the PCM. There will be two 7mm screws that hold the harness to the PCM. Loosen the top screw a little at a time as you're tugging on the connector plate. You're going to tug/loosen/tug/loosen and so on. I used a very small pry bar to gently pry the connector plate from the PCM. Do the same with the lower screw.

Remove the back screw. It takes a T30 Torx.

Leave this screw in; it stays there. Pull the airbox strait back towards the fire wall. The grommet might pull out of the airbox, but that'* alright; you'll put the grommet back on during reassembly.

The lower half should now come out. The PCM will still be in the lower half. It has a clip on each side holding it to the lower half. The orange seals may be stuck to the PCM. You're going to take the seals off the PCM and install them down in the connector plates.

I'll check on this thread in a couple of hours to see if you have any questions.

Thanks for the illustrated tutorial, MACDRIVE. I got it now.

I don't have a T30 torx (yet), but that'* OK...I only need to remove the back half so I can make room for a LIM gasket job.

You're going to need a long extension to go with that Torx socket. I took mine out just so I could clean it out and clean under it. It had never been out of the car since it rolled of the line.
