yeah the car is nice but maybe you guys dont know me yet but when i get the mod bug i cant stop myself , anyways i know for sure im going to upgrade the intake, at first i thought about buying just a K&N filter for the stock airbox until i saw one of the members setup, looks good with the red intake and the heatshield, where can i get that setup at BTW?

don't dispair on the radio thing. It can be swapped. If you are worried about the chime feature you can get a device called GMChime (I think at gmchime.com) that replaces the factory radio chime function...

Either way you're getting a nice car!
i think your right on the stat, when i was test driving the 02 the temp was around 200 degree'*, so i will try to find a hypertech stat, that'* what i have on my both my camaro'* and they havent failed me yet, and with the radio system only time will tell but ill most likey change that too because im use to high power sound system'*

if you get a 160degree hyperstat your computer will throw a code (you can reset with a scantool). 180 seems to be the degree of choice.

Oh well, you give a little you get a little
Does my '00 sound system got that problem? I don't have onstar or phone features. Or at least I don't have any onstar stuff active. I think my year had a more primitive type of onstar, but I'm still getting to know my newer ssei. I bought the '00 only a year and a half ago but didn't start driving it regularly until this summer.

I think my sound system sounds great, however, my '92 may have been a little louder, who knows. I do know the '00 has a Bose system not the Monsoon system that the newer ones have.

Any comments?

If and when you go to upgrade the audio system to after market, they will locate a "ribbon"....sorry I can't really describe seeing that I don't have an SSEi But this ribbon is interlaced with all the other "sounds" of the car, ie low fuel and door chimes etc.

If you are satisfied with what you have, leave it alone, but if you do upgrade you MAY lose the other features and chimes. I'm no expert at 00+ Bonnes, but...I'm picking up things as I go and I have been privied to have a look see at a few 00+ SSEi'* to note some differences in the 92-99 from the 00+ generations.

What are your plans for the 00?

i just wanted a change of pace, having a 96z28 and a 01ss, its time for a change, im keeping my cars but want somethin good on the snow but still have the peformance im used to hence my choice to the ssei, my brother always told me to check out the supercharged bonnie but never did until that test drive on monday, and i was suprized how the ride was and the power a 4 door sedan could put out is amazing, im really not going to race the car more or less keep it stock except for the intake and stat, and more than likely the sound system

Famous last words my friend...

Intake, exhaust, pulley, wires, better plugs, you'll see...

At any rate...good luck with the purchase, I hope you have learned a lot about these rides even before you got it
