That'* about $3,000 Cdn worth of options.
yeah i know, like i said earlier i really dont care about the roof, the wheels are what bother me, but i could always change them, i herd the stock radio system isnt that good so not having the 12 cd changer isnt that big of a deal either, im going to change the system anyhow

I think the stock stereo is actually pretty good. It'* not a custom job but, as far as stock systems go, it is certainly up there.

You will like the moon roof after you have it for...oh, about 10 minutes. Spring, fall and most of summer it becomes second nature to pop it open when you hit the road. What is also nice about the moon roof is the cover you can slide closed to take out road noise and keep the car warmer in the winter.

The stock sound system is not that bad. I think it is around 200w. Alot of members have added subs to enhance the thump. You will also get used to the 12 disc changer real quick. The first time you load it up with CD'* and learn how to really get the hang of the stearing wheel controls, you find yourself listening to ALOT less radio.

The biggest reason they "suck" is because the systems are all intertwined with the On-star, telephone and body control module. Swapping out your head unit for an aftermarket may give you a better sounding system, but you lose functionality of some of the other things. There have been a few posts regarding swapping out components and getting bad hums and stuff.

Yea, I wish my system could crank a bit more at times, but I think I have outgrown the phase of putting a couple house payments into a car stereo.

Good points Jay

Its nice to get all those other features that come interlaced with the stock stereo, but it would have been nice if the stock system was as strong as the 90'* model yet still keep the bells and whistles of the new Bonnes

Oh well, you give a little you get a little

Happy car hunting. Don't forget to haggle and never take there first or second offer, beleive me they'll go lower.

When changing the stock Bose stereo on my 01 you don't loose that much, You just have to pay through the nose to keep the onstar hooked up. I only lost my door chimes and the radio station dosen't come up on the HUD anymore.

Yah I know I'm "different" when it comes to stereos. Stock will never stay in my daily dirver.
No highs, no lows, must be BOSE!!! j/k
