Cough, chug...sputter
Comming home from work tonight I went to give it a bit of WOT after warm up and when it got up around 3500 rpm it went cough-cough. I let off right away and it setteld down, then back on the pedal and sputtered again?
I'm going out to inspect right now
Just what I need 3 days before a 1200 mile trip and after putting on new tire$ :(

I found corrosion on #6 and #3 coil posts, #6 was worse the #3. I cleaned them up with steel wool and inspected the rest (fine). I need wires and plugs to say the least.
Took it for another run and all was fine, not the thing to start a trip with though.

Man that just a nice confidence booster. Hate it when things like that happen. Glad to hear you could troubleshoot the problem and plugs and wires aren't a big deal.
Where you going on your trip?

Vernon BC. My daughters team is going for the provincials in Ringette (like hockey) its 600 miles oneway
I kinda knew something was up a few weeks ago but that was at a much higher rpm (4500+) and not all the time. I had hoped to get new plugs wires and coils before the tires but they needed it first.
