flame away gmers.
it'* a damn intake.
just like a catback.
more noise then performance.
BonneMeMN: show me a cone airhog i'll sit here and wait...
2000SilverBullet: i see you agree with the hose routing idea. it can't hurt. no where would you get that air routing material? hardware store!
1993 SLE: **** you with the Type R bullshit. no **** this isn't hondaforums.com or ricemyride.com. thats why i expected to get a more mature reply then: it'* not type r in here buddy. The injen sticker is a joke. why would you put a sticker on your car anywhere unless you were sponsored by the company? free advertising? puhlease.
Damemorder:
all aftermarket intakes are about the same: what i mean by this is they all are within 3-5 whp of each other, all make a ton of noise, change throttle response, and make your car 0.0 seconds faster on the 1/4.
i would goto home depot or your local hardware store for my tubing and what not: where else would you goto buy tubing for ducting in air around town? give a reason why this is a bad idea...
what did i misrepresent about intakes or JoHelm tech? seeing as how custom intakes are dirt cheap from JHT, mainly because of the fact beer is used instead of money for payment...how am i misrepresenting anything.
oh and i'd rather have custom parts on my car then parts everyone else has. for instance i drive the only maxima in the world that looks like mine. period. no questions asked. no one has the same parts or looks like mine.
oh everyone says you have to modify the trasher sorry i ment thrasher intake. there is no write up or pics of the modifications needed to make it fit?
at the end of the day it'* just an intake and makes more sound then noise: yes tons of sound, little performance. 0.0 1/4 change.

DO NOT come on this board and tell us about performance upgrades. WE have several membes with a large amout of $$ in there cars. Several of them Run 12'* and 13'* at the track
you have no clue about the 3800 N/A and */C and if you do you please say so
untill you do..........do not say that an intake makes no difference on our cars
and there is a write up on how to adapt a Thrasher to a 2000+

Bonne>Maxima
wow your mature.
ok here we go!
maxima>bonne
and here is why imho:
sold a shitload more maximas then bonnies in the states. <--are the people wrong???
it'* not made by gm <--sorry guys every american car my family has owned has sucked ***. thus we buy imports either japanese or european. it'* just our luck and don't say it has anything to do w/ maintenance. i'm all about buying american but for what it'* worth my max employed americans to make it.
faster <---1/4, topspeed, twisties etc.
more luxurious <--actually probably about the same give or take but i'd give a 1 up to nissan because of the extra little features.
oh and they come with one of the best auto engines ever made. http://waw.wardsauto.com/ar/auto_best_engines_3/
my engine is more efficent then yours in hp/tq output per L
my engine has been proven to last longer then yours (plenty of 300k+ VQs)
my engine allows my vehicle to get better gas millage then yours.
my engine has been acclaimed universally as
i didn't want to start a stupid pissing contest but it looks like you guys are board to tears...so you can flame me to entertain yourselfs.
i'll quote this for you all:
Gee, we never would have guessed.
Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. 3L DOHC V-6 It'* becoming a habit, this business of telling readers that Nissan Motor Co. Ltd.'* "VQ" 3L DOHC V-6 has won yet another 10 Best Engines Award. Securing a place on this year'* list ties Nissan with BMW as the only manufacturer to place the same engine for six consecutive years.
How else to describe the VQ but pre-eminent? The inherent excellence of this design absolutely stunned us - and many of Nissan'* competitors - when launched for the '95 model year, and the same basic engine today still stands out from a growing cadre of sophisticated V-6 engines.
The VQ'* uncanny refinement and lack of vibration always seemed practically supernatural; it'* unrivaled noise, vibration and harshness characteristics are a large contributor to the VQ V-6'* insouciant, exuberant power delivery.
Because of its "attitude," the VQ'* 190 hp always satisfied, largely because it really felt like 220 hp.
Thanks to a host of upgrades for model-year 2000, the VQ really does make 220 hp. Well, 222 hp to be precise. This is icing on the cake, because the former 190-hp VQ already was the standard by which all V-6 engines, regardless of price, should be judged.
Nissan'* VQ 3L V-6 is a marvel of intelligent design and meticulous attention to detail - but its cat-quick throttle response and unmatched smootness also mean it'* a genuine delight to drive. Best of all, Nissan delivers what may be the best V-6 engine ever - yes, we said ever - in cars that are priced for normal mortals

give me a link to that writeup already. i'm trying to help that guy who started this thread figure out how much work it would be to get it in there. which no one else is now. while the rest of you flame.
i can tell you about air intakes untill i'm blue in the face. they are not ******* complicated in the least...
i'm really happy for your members who have put tons of $$$ into there car to get them to go fast. it really must be a an accomplishment. just like when people take there 4 banger hondas and make em run 11s. it'* like wow you made a slow car fast! thats cool...ya...
hey it'* an engine! they all work on the same for the most part. give or take. i can give advice and my opinion on ANYTHING. thats why it'* called a forum. untill a moderator says i'm breaking the agreement i clicked i will continue to post and speak my mind. this is the internet kinda like in real life you don't have to agree w/ me but you do have to listen

Oh please, everyone SHTF UP! Yes an intake is a very minor performance mod and won't do much in itself, but when you start adding other power adders the intake helps out more and more.
