P0440 Code on my 2001 SSEi
Looks like I finally found the problem. I replaced the EVAP Purge Valve, located on the engine, and it has been code free for six days now. I was starting to just replace the most likely parts and the first one I replaced was the one that fixed it.
The EVAP Vent Valve, located by the canister at the rear of the vehicle, was going to be the second one that I would have replaced. The third one would have been the EVAP Solenoid located on the canister itself.
I am crossing my fingers though, because it came back seven days after seating the line on the canister. The line actually pushed in about a half inch and made a clicking sound so I thought I had the problem licked.
