Check Engine light
Check Engine light came on tonight, whille on the highway. Any ideas? What are the signs of the intake gasket going out. Seems to be running fine, no funny smells....I think I will go get the code read and go from there.

No ideas. Once you get it read, make sure you get the actual code numbers and post them up. From there we should be able to help pinpoint the issues.

I was unabel to get the codes, since I live in a small town only mechanics have the tools to read the codes and they keep that a close gaurded secert. According to what he said the themostat was causing the code. Odd being the heat of the vechicle and the heater both seemed to be working fine. Either way, I order myself a code reader, because I could have changed the dang thermostat and cleared the code! I can't complain too much because he flushed the coolant and put in a sealer of some sorts to help down the road, since I still have the plastic gasket. Looks like the first of the year I will be replacing the manifold gasket.
