Car Shuts Off
Hey guys,
Im new to the forum, but scanning thru the pages you guys know your stuff. I have a 2000 Bonny SSEI, here recently in the last week while driving, I t has cut off for no unknown reason. The dash lights come on, and thats how i know it to have cut off. You dont even hear it happen, until you give it gas and no response. When I attempt to start it back up, it takes a few tries but it cranks up and im on my way. Any Ideas? I was thinking on the lines of a clogged fuel filter...maybe.

by checking the connections to fuse #19. Generally, a fuel related problem will cause the engine to do some sputtering or rough running before it dies. When it just cuts off, it is usually electrical.

Hawk...good thoughts....
Mr Neely.. if working on that connection isn't the answer... and even if the service engine light isn't on..it is possible a code is stored. Autozone and the Parts America chains will scan for free. Have the codes looked up and report back. Do not purchase anything.
