In the Series 2 valve cover gaskets are fairly common (if what I've seen is representative).
Fun part is, the rear cover is more entailed to get into on your 2003.
How about we help you service the supercharger for cost of parts and you have the garage change that nasty valve cover gasket?
As well..Willwrens mention of the lower intake manifold gaskets is another point to double check and ensure you don't see any seeping from them.
In my case, I changed the valve cover gaskets, then the lower intake gaskets (I didn't notice the seepage). In the end, it would have been much easier to do the valve cover gaskets when the supercharger and intake were off.

I know my oil pan leaks and so has others, my valve covers seem ok and I smell burnt oil sometimes.Have a look under at the oil pan to eliminate this. Also put a post in FORCED INDUCTION with your supercharger problem, maybe we can help.

Burnt oil smell
Wow, I thank everyone for their ideas and tips. As a new member I didn't mean to spark so many hostilities. As they all say "can't we all get along?"
I will look into the many suggestions everyone has suggested. I have had many 3800 series engines and none of them have leaked so I was surprised to hear of so many other people having problems.
Thanks again and I will let you know what I find if I find it.

I'd say in your case it may be the valve cover gaskets, also look at the manifold endseals..

Burnt oil smell
Just finished replacing the front valve cover gasket. Boy do I miss working on the cars built in the 60'* and 70'*. Time to replace gasket 5 mins. time to get to valve cover, remove it and re assemble, 60 mins. The lack of burnt oil smell "priceless". All is now fixed, thanks to everyone for the tips. I also didn't realize a set of Felpro valve cover gaskets cost so much for an SSEi. $52 at O'Reilly'*.
