Belts and oil pan gasket
Alright. So my GF took the car to get the oil changed and tires rotated. No big. Mechanic noticed that my oil pan is leaking. He also noticed both of my belts are cracking and need to get replaced. He said it would be $600 to do this.
So I do my thing and research parts from O'Reilly. I find that before my discount the cost of parts is $100. That means he'* charging $500 for labor.
I told my GF to tell this guy to get bent. Considering most shops charge $90-$100 an hour for labor he'* saying it would take him 5 hours to do the work. I know it wouldn't take that long.
So my question is, about how long SHOULD those repairs take? And yes, since the oil was just changed I'll have to pay for oil again. Give me some rough numbers.

Pan gasket.
It'* about 1-1/2 hours to replace a pan gasket on your car, 1/2 hour to replace the belts.
If you have a basic tool kit you can do the job yourself and save $$$.
Is your car dripping oil on your driveway?, if you can live with it till the next oil change you won't have wasted money on throwwing away good oil.
Maybe you need to find another repair shop if you are paying someone else to do the job.

They also said the super charger snout oil needs replaced. What check can be done to validate that claim?
GF was looking at the quote. They said they were gonna replace the oil pan with the gasket. I told her no. They said they wanted to drop the transmission pan and change the fluid and filter. I told her no. They said they wanted to flush the engine. I told her no. They told her to flush the coolant. I told her no.
I told her to take the car to her normal mechanic and ask them how much changing the belts and gasket with oil would be.

The GM FSM says you check the SC oil level and top it off. There is no spec for changing oil. That'* something us enthusiasts do about every 30K .....IF we feel like it.
On the oil pan. The motor needs to be supported. Pull the mount off the pan and motor (yeah..it'* precious) then the pan can come down pretty easily. I know what I'm doing in there (general mechanic, kinda makes it up as he goes) and it would take me a good 1.5-2 hours for the pan.
Belts.. cake walk..
Belts probably pay .5
Pan probably pays 3-4
SC.. there'* no book but it'll take .5
I think his estimate on time is pretty good. But he'* giving you a laundry list of stuff to keep his revenues flowing.

Ok so give me the info I need to know about my transmission. Less than 100k on it. What actually NEEDS to be done, and what is just mechanic bullshit?

Well..since you didn't metnion teh transmission at all.. I dunno what is mechanic BS.
I would say the only thing you might want to do to the trans is a service. That means dropping the pan, swapping the filter and refilling. It'* about a half hour job.

Well..if your gonna ask about it..ya gotta mention it.
No flush. Service only. The difference is a flush is pressure and hooked up to the trans lines. Service is simply a pan drop.
