Isn't the easier way to take out the driver master control and remove the four wires that go to the rear two windows. They would be easy to reconnect.

It doesn't work like that anymore. The control modules in each door communicate with the driver door module via serial link buses. There is not an easy way to isolate just the power to the rear window controls. You may have to take the interior panel off like Bill mentioned & disconnect the motors.

I am not sure if you guys have tried, but on every H-body I have worked on, if one set of switches isn't plugged in, that window doesn't work. For example. you can not roll down the passenger front window if the driver front window switch thing is disconnected.

My guess is that the wiring is the same for 00+. My suggestion would be to just disconnect the switches. Which you should be able to do w/o taking the door pannel off.

no, if you disconnect the switch on the 00+ the windows still don't work, just like the older models. I found that out the hard way when I wanted to test out my newly-installed regulator on the 00 SLE and the window would NOT work until I plugged the rear door switch back in. If you disconnect that rear window switch, the front master switch cannot operate the rear windows.

I think that is what Joe wants. The local door control switches as well as the master switches at the driver door are really just input devices like a copmuter keybd. All the comms between driver door & 3 other doors is serial linked. Power to raise/lower motors (motive force) is supplied from the 30 A breaker in rear fuse block. Power to the control modules (to power up the module) in each door is supplied from a 10 A fuse in the rear fuse block. The door locks have their own supply also. All power & ground switching functions take place at the control modules in each door via serial links.
