2001 bonneville ssei problems
Just a couple of questions i was hoping someone could help me with. I just bought a 2001 boneville ssei w/40,00 miles. Love the car, but have a couple of questionable noises. The first is when i turn the steering wheel left a little more than normal and drive slow, i hear a whining from the power steering. This does not happen at all when i turn it to the right. The second problem is when i turn the steering wheel slightly to the right and park i hear a clicking noise which happes a couple of times coming from the front brakes or somewhere in the front end of my car. This clicking noise also happes when i put the car in reverse, move, and then brake. The last thing is a small vibration on the freeway when turning the steering wheel slightly to the left, only in certain possisions. Any info is greatly appreciated, especially on the whining problem----could the power steering really be bad after 40,000 miles????

More than likely your steering shaft needs lubricated. It'* a known problem and you can problably find more than you care too about it if you do a quick search on here.

Check the power steering reservior level. Also check under right side of front end behind the right wheel & inboard for any evidence of power steering fluid. The power steering hp hose could possibly have a leak.
