2000 bonneville blower issues
my 2000 bonneville SLE just started to make an incredibly loud vibrating noise from the HVAC blower when the blower speed is above the 3rd setting. below the 3rd setting it still makes noise, but not as loud. everything else (hot and cold) still works, it is just loud.
i suspect i have a bad bearing or something on the motor and was planning to replace the whole motor. could it be anything else?
is this a do it yourself job?? has anyone else had a similar problem and had success with repairing/replacing the blower motor themselves? if so, please post any tips you may have.
thanks in advance!

just for the hell of it... pop your hood and open up the cover for the cabin filter on the passenger side cowling... take the filter out and reach in there to see if you have a piece of debris floating around in the turbine... ive had a couple leaves get in mine and make quite the commotion.

great call....i did some digging and found a couple of starbucks napkin jammed in there. who knows how they got all the way in there, but everything is working fine now. thanks!! saved me the headache of ripping apart my car over the labor day weekend.

The cabin filter has an opening into the glove compartment and sometimes things from the glove box get sucked into that little vent where the cabin filter slides in. I found that out at the dealer and he said it is pretty common for that to happen.
