Yella Terra rocker arms, preloading, valve lash
So now I've bolted on the heads and I bought the yella terra roller rocker set from intense. I installed the metal guides and the new pushrods they provided, however when I try to install the rocker arms, I can't seem to get a snug fit. That is, even when I tighten down the rocker arms to the point that I feel resistance, there is still play in the rocker arms and I can still move the pushrods up and down slightly. Now this isn't happening on all the rocker arms.. just 8/12 of them.
Here is a video of what I am observing.
The rocker arm bolts that came with the kit have an allen-wrench type screw so I can't really use a normal socket set for it.. I'm just using a 6mm hex key.
Do you guys think I should tighten it down further? Or is my pushrod too short (not sure how that could be)?

The rocker bolts need to be torqued to the correct amount, with a torque wrench. Can't remember the amount off the top of my head. But around 24 foot pounds comes to mind.

Yeah I torqued them afterwards, still no avail. I talked to intense, they said the pushrods are short but they won't take them back since it'* been over a month since I bought them. I just borrowed a pushrod length checker and I will probably order some comp cams next week.

What is their advertised length vs your stock length?

So I spoke to someone from Intense over the phone this time as opposed to email exchanges. They say their yella terras have had some reports of being slightly short, especially if a stage 1 cam is being used. The stock is 6.98'' in length and the yella terras are ~7.3''. They recommended going with an LS1 pushrod set which stock are 7.4''. They offered to credit me $20 for the old yella terra pushrods, but a new set of LS1 rods would end up being close to $100, from them. I'm going to gamble on a used LS set I found on eBay, for now, but if they suck I'll only be out $30.
