Synthetic may be part of your problem. The TCC may be slipping too many RPM'* and can't lock.

No codes surprises me. That tells me either someone took your bulb out of the SES light, or the PCM isn't requesting OD for some reason.

What RPM do you run at 70?

It could. But if I recall, the MAP and the MAF also do. There are alot of factors on the OBD2 cars with the 4T65E. It'* over-managed to the extreme by the PCM.

Most transmission shops will diagnose for free.

I received a TPS code about a year ago and replaced it with an AC Delco.

I have a code now for misfire in #6 on another thread, so the service light is there and works.

I should take it in for an expert to look at. I have had the codes cleared, unless there is a hidden code....

What is the TCC?

Rpms at 70 are about 2800.

2800 rpms at 70 seems very high.

Thats cause its in 3rd gear....mine will run that way when I shift into drive up big hills. 2800 is pretty good.

Guys, please go back and read the original post in this topic. 2800 is BECAUSE his TCC isn't locking up.

He KNOWS what it is. We're trying to find out WHY.
