wierd stuff when idling

ok so when im stopd at a light or parked the car seems to keep shifing up and down. my oil level and battery level keep going up and down and it sounds like the engines shifting.
any ideas?

ok well shifting? umm surging? or what? specifially when it is in drive or when it is parked? be a little more specific...

both when its parkd and when its stopd.. it makes a clicking sound then soudns like its in a lower gear the oil and battery gage drop and a few sec later if clicks again and the gages go back up.

Please reach over and turn off the climate control. Wait 10 seconds for the a/c compressor to turn off.

Was that the issue?

ill cheak it when i go out to the car and it happens next. not shure it will work the ac/climate control hasent been working at all (blower not turning ono)
