why does it shut off repeatedly when its hot out?

i dont get it.explain vapor locking.when its hot out it will shut off repeatedly.let it sit for 5 and she fires right up.sooooo frustrateing in traffic.have pulled the thermostat to try and buy sum miles.fresh radiator and coolant.

Could also be the fuel pump resistor. When it gets hot it shuts down the fuel pump. Easy way to check that is to override the relay and make the pump run in high mode. If you have a fuel pressure tester, try to monitor the fuel presser and see if it drops off.
