What does a bad inboard CV joint sound and act like?
Just tonight, on my '96 Olds LS I noticed a thumping sound coming from the front left that changes with the speed. I'm thinking it'* the inboard cv joint gone bad. What exactly are the symptoms? It'* got 128,000 on it, so I suppose it'* time for something to fail.

most of the time when an inboard joint goes bad, i makes the car wobble under accel.
the turip joint wears and give the rollers in it sort for like dents in it that makes it rough when it goes over them. if they get too bad , they will clunk too. mostly a bad inner CV joint is mistakes as a bad tire or motor mount.

I'm starting to think it could be the front left wheel bearing. But two other cars in the past I've owned had more of a rumble when theirs went bad... this is a thump thump thump, it sounds hard, not like a bad tire that'* broken a belt.
