Ok first off I might be able to get you a great deal on parts. I have a body shop in my town that provides me personally atleast 20% off wholesale. It depends on the part. So even after the part is shipped from the warehouse the difference might save you some money. I will not make any money off this deal this is purely an opportunity to support a fellow Bonneville owner. Now as for rebuilding it can be done and 5000.00 is a good guess. Your lucky you have a Bonneville if that was a rice box your dad would be hurting very badly right now. Actually that is exactly how my car looks every time i let my wife drive it. I’m not replacing anything on my car until I get my wife a new one. I was thinking of getting her a Tahoe and welding a cage around it. If you don’t save the car Ill buy parts from you.
I think considering the type of vehicle that hit your dad he might want to take another look at how sore his neck is because the difference between a sore neck and no sore neck could be the difference between fixing you current car and buying you a new 2004 GTO or 2005 v8 Bonneville. Take a visit to the doc see what he says about your dads health.

If it was me man, I would kinda push towards having it totalled. I know your probably thinking its your baby, but you could easily find a used 1996+ (newer style headlights / taillights, Series II */C motor) SSEi for cheap. Just transfer all your stuff over and you probably wouldnt have to come up with any if very little money out of your own pocket. Of course stick with Silver
Glad to hear you and your dad are ok though. Keep us posted!

Salvage what ever you can from the old bonnie and go for it ( he'll take 7000.00 ) ! When I get a car I like to change EVERYTHING just to be sure of whats old and new ! Ask him if he wants to go to the Pontiac dealer so you can get it checked out ! They charge about 80.00 and they'll tell you almost everything that'* wrong with the car !

I was gonna say the same. With 100k, 7,700 sounds bit high. I would think (and this is just off the top of my head without looking it up) that it should be somewhere around 6-6,500. Also, keep lookin around. I'm sure you can find a 96+ SSEi with less miles for right around the same if not less money.
