Umm, uh...Nick. UIM went out today. Sorry, I'm in the middle of a heated re-election battle.

Best, Bob.

P.*. I used plain water with a radiator sealer (the aluminum stuff) in the engine for the first day or two when I installed mine, and then drained it and filled it with coolant. That'* an abundance of caution, but reasonable, I think.

that is correct, it was like an oatmeal substance, that was not very thick and came out very easily. That is the water port that is blocked on the UIM, anyone know why that is blocked?

"anyone know why that is blocked?"

did you (or a previous owner) by any chance use radiator sealer on the car? that'* what it looks like to me.

Original owner here and never used any sealer on the car, as I said before the UIM is blocked at this location on both sides. From your reply it sounds like it shouldn't be.

"From your reply it sounds like it shouldn't be."

I'm stumped if it'* not radiator sealer. All my passages were clear. I suppose that could be a small oil leak into the coolant but you would have noticed when you changed the oil.

considering the climate you live in, it doesn't seem like it would be condensate, either.
